Somewhere I have the VHS of the implosion.

I cried, but that's because I'm a sappy engineer. I can understand people disliking the Dome.

      Howdy -

I run for a group called Lost Seattle, and I'd love it if you'd submit your exploding Kingdome shot to the group!

I sat on Yesler Ave by Yesler Terrace and the freeway and watched the implosion. I was honestly kind of sad — when I was a kid we marched in some parade deal at the opening of the Kingdome so I had a bit of wondrous attachment. I also saw Chris Bosio's no-hitter and Nolan Ryan's last pitch — a grand slam to Dann Howitt — there.

When I entered Safeco Field for the first time and saw the grass, I cried.
