Bonsai bush - Zion
Another small-scale shot, in somewhat stark contrast to my previous posting of a fairly sizeable chunk of Arizona!
This is a tiny bush on the eastern outskirts of Zion National Park, Utah, taken on a sunny day (they all were) when I spent a few hours wandering around by myself, pointing the camera at rocks and small bushes, bemoaning the intensity of the sunshine and the total lack of cloud cover, and trying to keep alert for sight or sound of cougars or rattle snakes! (Not exactly relaxing in many ways - more of which in a future blog article about being surrounded by potentially dangerous animals.)
I liked the look of the vivid greens in these bushes, in contrast to the ochre and red of the sandstone which makes up Zion.
