Well, I have two red tattoos, and just today someone complimented me on how vibrant it is. My more recent one though, I didn't take proper care of it, so it's mildly pink now. So, take care of them and they stay fairly vibrant, but be prepared for the day when it all scabs up and falls off and seems pink and you get all mad that it isn't as red as you want.

I have a newer picture of myself that has it in it, but the color in the picture is crap, so it is tough to tell.

Well, I have one on the inside of my forearm, and this was way worse. Some people will say, "Eh, it kind of hurt." They're lying. It hurts so bad. Like, I give it an 8 -- leaving 9 open for ribs and 10 being anywhere that might be more sensitive.

I've got one on the inside of my forearm and I'm NOT lying when I say it didn't really hurt. The one on the top of my foot hurt much worse.

Haha. I will also leave open the possibility that I am just a big baby.

Thats a beautiful tattoo. I've been trying to design a tatto for the same place for months, but I've hit a creative wall.
If you fancy giving me a hand email me! Would love to hear from you!

That's very cool. I've wanted to get an all red tattoo for a long time. Similar to that design too. I like the flowing flowers & leaves designs you see in old books and the like. I always figured i'd go with more of a blood red though.

But no, they aren't my initials. The HMC is all of my friends (it isn't their initials either, haha). They're like my family. That's why I have a folder called The HMC that's just full of my friends. They are just the most important people in the world to me.

Hi Schka .. Im thinking of getting a wrist tattoo, and I had planned on sticking with black, but god, that red looks absolutely incredible. I know the color will fade, but this is seriously gorgeous!!

When you say you didnt take care of it, is there anything specific that we should avoid (in particular for red tattoos?)

I have recently discovered that my fatal error was my over-protection. I kept it constantly moist, and in doing so, didn't let it breathe. Just moisturize the same as you would with dry skin and don't get crazy with it. I keep meaning to post a more recent picture of it, but that probably wouldn't really help anyway since red is such a tricky color to calibrate on most monitors and you wouldn't get a good sense of the color now.

I think I am going to try to get it touched up (redone) in the next few months, and I'll post better pictures.
