Toco Toucan Chick

Visitors to the San Diego Zoo are getting their first glimpse of two toco toucan chicks, which are now actively exploring their habitat in the Zoo’s Parker Aviary, with mom close by. After spending nearly two months tucked away in a nest cavity, the pair fledged from their nest last weekend. This is the first time in 32 years this species has hatched at the San Diego Zoo—much to the delight of animal care staff.
