~ Ashley # 3 ~
~ My Favorite And Then Back To The Zoo ~
The other day I got the urge to do a little off camera flash stuff and so I asked my niece Ashley if she would take 15 minutes and model for me. I set up one light pole with a Canon 580EX II on it and a snoot.. It was in the middle of the afternoon and there was a lot of daylight coming through the skylights in my townhouse. The dark background was created by the lighting only. Actually, I had another overhead light on as well for those of you interested in off camera flash portrait work..
Some of the shots were taken with a 5D2 with a EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM and others with a 7D with an EF50mm f/1.2 L USM attached. All images were taken in manual mode and the flash was knocked down manually to as low as 1/8 light output. F/stop settings were determined by using my Sekonic 758DR light meter as I wanted 250s and 100ISO...
So, I'm going to break into the Beijing Zoo run and post a few of these for fun... I hope you all like them..
