Yucca sp. wilting from root rot

When roots are rotten, sufficient water cannot be acquired to support plant foliage, which turns yellow and wilts starting with the oldest (lower) leaves. When potted plants have watering trays beneath them, the growth medium may remain waterlogged, a condition which fosters root rot.
