Broadfield Hill Trig Point
A view southeast from the trig point on top of Broadfield Hill in Howwood. Historic Walls Hill can also be seen here.
Trig Points were used by surveyors as a frame of reference for surveying the UK for map-making in the days before GPS. There are believed to be over 6000 scattered all over Britain, including this one, which is about 4ft in height :-)
