Here are the next few steps along the evolution of Bazile. I pulled an all-nighter and paper mached for 10 straight hours; I think it’s kind of strange how one can lose track of time over such a simple labor.
Mask making to me is energizing and once I get to this stage of the game. There is a lot of time to start thinking of new mask designs. While working late into the night I found time to take a break and sketch out a few new mask ideas. It’s a very Zen thing paper maching, I zone out of reality for a while and just get into the moment in front of me. I find it a little unnerving I can sum up 10 hours of labor in just seven photos.
Bazile is now front of the fan now for a 12 drying period. The next batch of photos will show how I take a mask off its mold.
