From the archives: "Smashable Christmas Lights" (2000 - 2007)

From old versions of my personal site: JavaScript + animation + sound = fun holiday silliness, with a slightly-destructive bent.

2000: Christmas lights were added as a seasonal decoration on the "logo". They were originally static, then animated, then smashable (with sound.)

2001: "Christmas Light Smashfest 2001" site, times your speed (with optional background noise and bonus "whoa" sound effects), and a fastest-times scoreboard.

2002 (Not shown): Bare-bones cross-browser-compatible site, line-art-style tree with minimal lights and snow.

2007: A modern take on the "Summer.02" night/day design, with seasonal Christmas lights and a bonus "end sequence" borrowed from a certain animated movie runs when all lights are smashed. You can try it for yourself here.
