Master lock, "r00t" password

    Newer Older

This lock allows you to set your own passphrase with letters and numbers, so r00t seemed appropriate.

It worked for about six months, and then the ball bearing that "hooks" the shackle somehow became loose from the innards of the chamber, jamming the lock. Eventually the ball simply fell out and was lost a few times after fixing it, so the whole thing is useless now.

    For the non-techies: Inside joke.

hahaha I love the recap for non techies down there. If anyone stole whatever you locked with that, I guess you'd know where to look :D #tr42

Yeah, where the hell is the noise? There isn't any. It's ridiculous.

1000 is nothing! 3200 is where it's at!

.schill, you should call them for a replacement... 6 month is pretty poor.

I bought a cheaper (but more solid-looking?) California-made replacement today at the same hardware store, we'll see how it goes. Agreed, 6 months is rather crap.

Re: Noise etc., I'm glad it turned out nicely; Michele has been learning me good.
