Hope for the Holidays 2019
It’s been a tradition. Each year, South Bay Community Services (SBCS) partners with our community to help hundreds of children and their families who would otherwise go without during the holidays. For families who are struggling, the holidays can be especially challenging. But year after year, we come together to give hope and sense of community.

Hundreds joined SBCS this year for Hope for the Holidays. Offices, neighborhoods, families and schools hosted collection drive of nonperishable food items, diapers, kitchen or self-care items. SBCS matched all donations with a local families or youth in need.

Hundreds also granted a child’s holiday wish. SBCS will match donors with a wish which has been collected from children and youth receiving services through SBCS. Many reside in SBCS emergency and transitional housing due to domestic violence and homelessness or are youth transitioning from foster care. Others are receiving support through various SBCS programs such as children’s mental health, youth prevention and intervention, affordable housing or community services for families.

And many made year-end tax-deductible donations. Their gifts provided shelter, food, academic support, therapeutic services, job readiness, counseling and more. Anyone can donate securely online at www.SouthBayCommunityServices.org.

No gift is too small. Every gift matters and is an investment that will continue to give for years to come.
