July 15: And Make Believe.
I really do want to make a companion piece to reflect back on the goals I set for my 1,000 mile year. But let's face it, between my commitments to work, client photos, my relationship, my friends, aerial and running, I don't really have a lot of time to spend on conceptual photography.
So I'll skip all that, and make note: I turned 30 this week.
This is a big deal, because I always expected to meet some great, adventurous death, just days before hitting thirty.
I can say that my feels exactly as free and adventuresome as I expected when I was younger (minus the 40-hour work-week), but the difference between me now and me then is that thirty has stopped seeming like the day I become an adult....it's stopped being the line I am afraid to cross.
So the year has turned, and I'm on to the next. What's in store? Well? A marathon, for one thing. More aerial....and I'm hoping I might get to the level where I can perform. And that book. Seriously, kids. I want this.
But growing up?
I can't even dress myself without looking like a toddler on speed.
