How many times does it happen that you drive to Yosemite and elements line up to give you a glimpse of the valley that you always wished you saw. I have been to Yosemite a dozen times but this visit was certainly the one to remember.

It is funny how I have been planning my visits to Yosemite based on the availability of accomodation and not so much based on the weather. It should have been the other way around. Fortunately, winter is not the crowded time so when I saw storm clearing up I called Curry village and I got a tent to stay on the same day.

After reaching the valley myself and wife spent time photographing at the Valley View. Nothing good came out of that. It was all fogged up. But that meant Tunnel view would be awesome. So we drove up to the Tunnel view and sure the view did not disappoint. The combination of fog in the valley, golden clouds in the sky, alpine glow on rocks and a flickr of snow on the peaks was my one lucky Christmas present! So here is the first image... will be posting more. Hope you guys enjoy.
