Reflections

El Capitan at Yosemite National Park is one of those distinctive features of Yosemite, apart from Half Dome. Rising tall from the valley floor, it is rather impressive when viewed from the peaceful meadows lining the Merced River.

You would think that people would be mad to attempt climbing up this incredible piece of rock. But YES, There are people who do it. It really amazed me. The thought of sleeping a 1000ft in the air attached only to ropes and camming devices frightens me....

That was one of the things Chaybert and I were discussing while gazing up its vertical face.

We stopped near Bridalveil Falls and a short walk later, reached a clearing along Merced river. The still calm water provided for amazing reflections. Thank god there were no kids around throwing stones and disturbing the water.

You can't get it better than this.
