Come this Tuesday, October 2nd, a nice hand surgeon will take the pesky ganglion cyst out of my wrist, and for the following 3 days, i'm going to be sporting a gigantic foam sleeve which will make it difficult to do most things. So I ask all of you -- what are your recommended activities while recovering from surgery? I'm planning to watch a lot of the West Wing episodes, but anything else? I'm taking any and all suggestions. And yes, I've contemplated running with the foam sleeve.

first of all good luck on your surgery! wishing u a quick recovery...
we've just finished watching the first season of "the killing", so if you are into watching smth, I totally recommend this show.
also, a great opportunity to make some phone calls (or skype calls lol) to some old friends and catch up. in the every day life we don't always find time to that..

      Hi Olga,

Sending you wishes for a easy surgery and indulgent recovery. Yes- indulgent! Believe it or not, I actually found myself enjoying my post surgery week of recovery. I soaked my feet, took a bath, had friends visit, called friends I hadn't spoken to in awhile, and best of all, allowed myself to be taken care!

      Sincerely,
      Stefanie

Thank you! :) I plan on reading lots and drinking a ton of tea and getting much further in my complete series of The West Wing.
