Java Lamp

This lamp is made out of an old percolator. I sold it on Etsy awhile back but have a few other percolators sitting around waiting to be reincarnated.

    What a groovy idea!

    Did you make this yourself?

You betcha! I rescued the lamp from a thrift store somewhere and took it home to begin its new life as a lamp. I drilled holes all over the the percolator, then took out the heating element and replaced it with a light socket.

Now all I need to do is come up with a good use for the old cord from the perc.

BTW -- it's cool that you're from St. Pete. I'll be in North Pinellas for T-Day visiting my mom.

This is awesome. I once went to an art installation where someone had done this with old hardsided suitcases. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
