Wimbledon at War

Incident Map from the book Wimbledon at War 1939-1945 showing the location of all the enemy bombs that fell on the borough of Wimbledon during the war. You can clearly see a line of high explosive bombs (small orange spots) running parallel with the railway line. Luftwaffe aiming not that good it seems. Quite a few V1's fell on the borough. They are the large red spots. I'm going to have a look around and see if there is still any bomb damage to be seen. Best viewed large. Copyright Norman Palstow from book Safe as Houses, Wimbledon at War 1939-1945 hope he does not mind
