Tuesday 14th December 2010. The carousel outside the Hotel de Ville is so beautiful. Today was really hectic but I had to stop and photograph it on my way past.
I got a 2 hour lie-in today because my first two classes were on a trip. I subsequently got totally complacent about getting ready and ended up being late for my one class of the day! They're my most frustrating class and I did find myself wondering why I'd even bothered getting out of bed at all.
After work I went to Bercy Village where I bought myself lunch but failed at buying any more Christmas presents, which had been my original plan! I then met up with Beth, a friend from Warwick, for coffee. We've been trying to organise it since we both arrived in Paris in September and it's taken us this long! It was great to catch up though and hopefully it won't take quite so long to arrange the next time!
I spent the rest of the afternoon in Chatelet, frantically (and fruitlessly) searching for my last three presents before my tutoring session. Everywhere I went music systems were playing English Christmas compilation CDs and it made me want to be at home more than ever. Don't they have any Christmas songs of their own?!
