that kitchen, again
in my grandfather's house. i'm sure most of you recognize it, from two previous images i've posted of the carving right below the sink that my grandma did.
i've been finding it more difficult than i would have thought, going through the images i took while we were in massachusetts. so many emotions and memories hit me every time i look at them, and i think i might have to handle these photos in small doses. it's amazing how photographs, especially film, can so totally transport you back to a place, a time, a person - they even trigger smells for me. and this place has always had a certain warm, familiar scent that reminds me of gramps brewing coffee, and puttering around the kitchen.
