So I'm curious about how big it is. I'd love to do one as a bedspread for a double bed. can you add on more squares or do i wider border maybe?

I'm considering attempting a Babette myself. Yours is lovely! You said 11 skeins, but the original pattern calls for much more than that, right?

Yes, I didn't follow the pattern in terms of color combinations -- just for the number of squares in each size & the initial layout. (Once I had a feel for how the different sizes fit together, I improvised a panel to add -- the pattern as written makes a pretty small blanket, at least if you crochet tightly.) I got as many different colors as I could afford, and went from there, using a matrix to keep track of what color combinations I'd already done & avoid repeats.

I have been looking at the cascade 220 colors and they are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Did you have to use multiple skeins of each color? Sorry I'm really new to crochet and this will be my first blanket.
