lemon pound cake

    buttery pound cake with lemon zest and lemon fondant glaze. the cake recipe is here, minus the optional apricot filling. i adapted this recipe for the petit fours i made earlier, and the glaze is actually leftover lemon-flavoured fondant from the same petit fours.

      BNCA, it's very good. the cake is tender, moist, buttery and just lightly scented with lemon.

      I looked at that and imagined a violet cake. Don't ask me why... I think it would taste lovely, like Pama Violets. What do you think?

      sure, it should work fine. even as just an accent here with candied violets
