Tundra Swans

During their spring and fall migration, tundra swans can be seen and heard soaring in V-formation above the park, as family groups migrate along traditional routes across North America. Tundra swans breed in the Arctic and subarctic tundra where they inhabit shallow pools, lakes and rivers, and feed on aquatic plants. The plumage of both male and female is white year-round, and they occur in the park primarily during spring and autumn migration.
