Costin Nathan GT
A 1 litre Imp engine, bolted to a wooden centre section with steel subframes front and rear. One ran at Le Mans in 1968, but wasn't all it promised, retiring after 4 hours from last place. Frank Costin designed the VERY aerodynamic body, Roger Nathan was responsible for the highly tuned (90+BHP from 1000cc!) Hillman Imp engine, all in weight was under 400Kgs.
Sadly, it wasn't homologated, as the team had hoped, into group 4, Costin left, and the whole project declined, terminally. Only 6 coupes were built before Costin departed, and another 18 odd completed afterward.
