1958-1967 CITROËN ID 19 Break by Corgi Toys

Soon after the introduction of the ID/DS series die cast models came on the market. Companies like Dinky Toys, Efsi, Husky and Majorette made attractive small models of the DS Break. Sometimes even of the DS Ambulance.

Eligor, Matchbox, Norev, Polistil, Schuco and Solido only made the DS Berline.

Another famous brand name was Corgi Toys.

Here an image of their die-cast model is shown. It had even real suspension and the rear door could be opened.

The revolutionary DS/ID was introduced in Oct. 1955. The Phase 2 with a new front followed in August 1967. The first estate version was presented in Oct. 1958 but available just one year later.

Designed by Flaminio Bertoni & ing. André Lefèbvre.

Production DS/ID Series: 10/1955-4/1975.
