Nelson –New Zealand’s South Island Largest Fishing Port & One of Sam’s Exotic Travels
We spent our last night on the South Island in Nelson, New Zealand’s largest fishing port located on the north coast on the Tasman Sea near the Marborough Sounds. The city of Nelson, along with Blenheim to the east, is a major shopping center for residents in the northern part of the South Island and a charming and modern city, despite its small size. It is also a great place to stay while exploring Abel Tasman to the west, the Nelson Lakes region and Richmond Forest to the south and the Marborough Sounds to the northeast, or while visiting some of the many vineyards of the area.
