Bonfire
It's an Easter tradition at Etelä-Pohjanmaa, Finland: locals collect wood, twigs and other burnable stuff and set up a huge bonfire. The fire is lit on Easter Saturday night and it's supposed to scare away witches that are flying around during that time of year.
Locals get together at the bonfire (called kokko) to meet each other. Children are having a blast throwing things to the fire, parents keep reminding them not to get too close and teenagers are getting ready for Saturday night party.
Driving around from one bonfire to another is an experience: the landscape around Etelä-Pohjanmaa is very flat so you can see small flickering lights everywhere. Every village has put up their own bonfire.
You can smell the smoke (and magic) in the air.
