Arctic Sunset

    Newer Older

One of the last days with auroras up here in northern Norway.

Waited quite a while to get the aurora exactly over this composition.
Not the most spectacular auroras, but still good enough to balance the rest of the frame.
Main focus here was to lock in on the foreground and wait to for the aurora play along with
the rest of the elements, the mountains, the sunset, the moving ocean.

Colors from the sunset in the horizon, and moonlight lightning up foreground from behind.

      That's really great.
I'm going on november 1th to Lofoten looking for these magnigic images.
What do you suggest about lenses ? Do you thik that 24mm f1.4 it's enough or it's better a bigger grandangle ?
