Shot this out in the woods last night.
I was expecting maybe some stronger auroral activity than what appeared, on the other hand I also expected more clouds than what appeared! :)
Anyway, found this beautiful location with a small river flowing down, a slow hill. I had to really work to get into this location, I am standing just in the middle of the river here, holding my tripod as hard I as I can to keep it stable. Water streams barely being kept out of my boots, was getting cold waiting for an acceptable aurora to complete this shot.
Really dark yet with no snow as late as November up here!!! Slight moonlight from behind, but had to apply a little light from my LED light to light up the foreground a little.
Lot's of more coming, but this one deserved to go out first.
Hope you like it,
PS! Images like this look really dark when surrounded by lot's of white as here on flickr.
