The serious business of bringing comedy to the TV screen will be brought to life by the creators of BBC hits Twenty Twelve and W1A, along with Blackadder and QI producer John Lloyd, at the Nations & Regions Media Conference next month, as part of Salford International Media Festival.

Writer/director John Morton and producer Paul Schlesinger, who worked together on BBC Radio 4’s People Like Us and more recently collaborated on W1A and Twenty Twelve, will be quizzed by John Lloyd on a wide range of topics, including the process of creating an observational comedy for television, having a career in TV and radio comedy, and whether the perception of London dominance in the industry remains valid.
