Updated my "visited" map to include Oregon and Washington. I've now been to 29 states.

    Made here.

You're a regular globetrotter, Dude! I've been to just 11, plus Mexico.

Wes : I'm a nomad, I suppose. I've lived in five states. Some of the trips were with family when I was a child. A lot of the states, I visited as an adult (for example, Marline and I visited seven states during our 2009 trip out west).

Last year, my Dad visited his 50th state (in New England), at age 71, so I have a few years left to catch up to him. :-)

Put Maine on your vacation list for next year - it's gorgeous and child friendly.

I've been to 26 states. I really dislike travel, unless by car, so my travels outside the US aren't as extensive. I've been to Mexico (always by car - I grew up in SoCal), Germany and France.

      Noted.

(Though I think Marline has already planned a North Carolina trip for next summer; we both have family there. And with a rental car, we should be able to add at least one other state -- hopefully more -- on that trip.)

      That's more than average, I think. :-)

"I really dislike travel, unless by car.."

Same here. The plane is a "necessary evil" for me on these trips, for two reasons. One, Marline couldn't get enough time off work consecutively for us to make a road trip out of this -- it would have required several days to get up there, and several days to get back. Two, I'd rather spend four hours in a plane with two kids than 32 hours in a car. :-)

Japan, Majuro, etc., were all added when I was a child. Mexico, I've been to twice, once by church bus and once via cruise ship. Belize was via a cruise ship. So, Canada is the only one I went to in a plane, by choice. :-)
