Aravaipa Canyon Sunset

This was actually taken on the way back from a little town called Bonita.

Here's the rest of the pictures from Aravaipa Canyon. Took me a while to get them all processed. I took my daughter, Jessica, with me to Aravaipa Canyon yesterday. It turned out being a little further than anticipated. Took about three hours to get there including 38 miles of dirt road and 8 river crossings. The BLM site doesn't tell you about the 8 river crossings. Their directions are way off too. If not for my ability to overcome my manliness and ask directions we probably wouldn't have made it there. The 8 river crossings wouldn't have been a problem in a truck of SUV, but in a 4 door sedan they were a little much as water came up over the hood a couple times. Before we even got there I was wanting to come back and hike the whole thing. It's 12 1/2 miles one way.

If you'd like to go, don't trust the BLM web site directions and plan to be hiking in the middle of the water most of the time.
