Oh wow, this is stupendous. Stunning. Superb... all those superlatives that start with the letter 's'. You are surely the bokeh master, Harold.

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Wow your bokeh is simply amazing...well done. i am getting ready to get a 40D and thinking about the 50mm 1.4 or the 50mm 1.8. I have heard the 1.8 is basically plastic but has a sharp lens and produces great Bokeh. After seeing your Bokeh profile I might be leaning towards the Canon 1.4 ...

    12. harold.lloyd 65 months ago | reply

The 1.4 provides superb dof and quality. The build quality is certainly better than the 1.8. But look here if you want to see what the 1.8 can do in the hands of a master. Well, mistress. The 1.8 is an absolute bargain for the price and if you're umm-ing and aaa-ing between the two, I'd get that to start with.
