The weather on São Miguel, at least when we were there in March, was very fickle. One minute it would be sunny and clear, and the next minute a rain storm would be moving across the island. It made for some dramatic scenes, as shown here. The image in comments was taken about three minutes before this one. Five minutes later, we were in a downpour.
