Kenilworth Castle - The Elizabethan Garden.

Over the next few days i'll be sharing a couple of shots from my recent commercial work for English Heritage at Kenilworth Castle

Starting this morning with a two-frame vertorama shot with the sigma 10-20mm of the wonderful Elizabethan Gardens at Kenilworth Castle. It is well worth a visit if you are anywhere near the midlands, the castle, which was first established in 1120 has quite a colourful and rich history, and is considered one of England’s great historical sites. It was a royal castle for much of its history and the walls enclose a series of outstanding medieval and Renaissance structures.

This was shot quite late in the evening with a lovely altocumulus sky for a backdrop, I timed my trip for one of the rare slots of good weather this summer and was lucky enough to see 4 different types of sky/clouds over the 2 days I was up there.

Most photographers will pack a few cameras and a good selection of lenses on an assignment, I like to bring my own clouds with me wherever i go too :)
