Take Care. Cliff Edges Can Be Dangerous (especially when viewed through a Fisheye Lens

    Newer Older

I'm back on the small rock (isle of wight) after a little trip to the big rock (england) to do an amazing photo-shoot of Kenilworth Castle. Got a busy few days ahead of me editing as i was very lucky to get a whole host of weather conditions and shot a few million frames in my excitement. Also got a wild and windy wedding to shoot this weekend so I may have a quiet few days on flickr.

In the meantime, here's a new look at one of my favourite subjects over the years, the 'cliff edges can be dangerous' sign at Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight, I love the idea of exploring a familiar theme in different ways, with different weather and moods and lenses and styles.

Cool effects…almost liking your shooting thru a car windshield. Looks like a beautiful, bright day full of color too. I love the atmosphere in the first shot in the comments as well

Fantastic series, Jason, and love the processing on the main photo. Not sure if I would dare venture so close to a cliff edge though!

I always thought we should drive cars with binoculars on as the compression slows things down. But with a fisheye that cliff edge would be much closer than you think!
Did you add a grunge texture? One problem with my fisheye and extreme DOF is that it shows up my sensor dust very nicely :(

      Nice twist on the subject

Brilliant shot dude! I don't usually like these kind of edits, but this works well!
