Desenio. Large Acoustic Paintings

It's only January 4th in the new year and the trumpet blowing has started already…

Actually this 'news' story goes back to early 2010 as the project and website have been under construction for quite a while but its only just gone live now!

Several of my photos, including the featured image 'Found Art - RGB 2. Monochrome coastline with added colour' have been chosen as subjects for "Large Acoustic Paintings" on the new Swedish website

The idea is that sound-absorbing panels from Desenio replace the usual Canvas and oil paintings in a modern home. The explanation from the site as follows…..

"Acoustic large paintings are stylish while reducing noise and making room quiet and pleasant. In modern homes and offices with open space and understated decor bounce sound waves around a long time before they die out, ie, long reverberation time. Frequently carpets, curtains and upholstered furniture are a good basis to keep the volume down, but our sound-absorbing panels are 3-5 times more efficient. "
