Temple of Apollon

Side ruins, near Antalya-Turkey

These columns are remnants of a Roman temple, and they were stand up by Turkish archeologists a few years ago.

Side is an Ionian harbour city on the Mediterranean seashore, near Antalya and more than 2.700 years old.

Side means pomegranate in a very old Anatolian language, maybe it comes from Hitites. It was belong to the Roman Empire from the first century and the Roman times was its golden era.
