It is nice to see her with top sails up, which doesn't happen any more.

Great shot, full sail shots are usually by plane or another ship.

I believe it, but she doesn't use her top sails any more. See the photo a little further downstream.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called The Cruel Sea, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Wonderful - I've always wanted to catch her with the topsails up.

    8. Standing in the Shadows 58 months ago | reply

Absolutely stunning I would give my eye teeth for one like this.

Wonderful capture; topsails and the obvious speed she is traveling make this shot.
More info please! Where? When? Where was photographer?

    10. rwkphotos 57 months ago | reply

Eastcoastfocus, I have always wanted to as well, but we will not where they don't use topsails any more.

Standing in the Shadows, if you are reading this, go into the Fisheries Museum Gift Shot, you can't miss it, and get a shot just like this one.

Thanks, brucethimas. Read my comments above and see the map below.

Thanks everyone for the comments and favorites. It should be mentioned that this is a photo of another photo. It was obviously taken when they could still use the top sails. The original is located at the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, in Lunenburg (see map).

legendary schooner, the angle is just right to show the beautiful cut of her sails and run of the deck

That is a great photo of her with all sail engaged. Very nice light as well.
