Air Force Memorial
As we got lost around the Arlington Cemetery, a downpour started and we were very disappointed. But then it suddenly stopped and the sun came through. He said, "It looks like a good time for a rainbow." We turned our heads to the left and there appeared a HUGE DOUBLE RAINBOW as if made to order! We turned around, then saw the tips of this memorial. Through sheer luck, we got there in time for a last peek at the rainbow before it hid behind the clouds. Thanks, Sonora Guy, for letting this lens-baby have the kit lens. :-)
This memorial overlooks the Pentagon, the Potomac, Arlington Cemetery and Washington DC. It soars 270 feet high and represents contrails of the Thunderbirds' "bomb burst" maneuver
Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone!
