Spring 2019 Photography Exhibit
Frans from the Ajax Photography Club is the man behind the exhibition of photographs that adorn the wall by Diagnostic Imaging registration. And this time around, he is also one of the featured photographers!

Frans has interested in photography since he was in my early teens. He wanted to capture the beauty of the world around him and this seemed to be the way to do it. He even had a darkroom where he messed around with all those nasty chemicals. After a decades long break in “serious” photography while his children were growing, Frans was inspired take it up again by two strangers he bumped into at Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. They had gotten married there the day before and came back early in the morning to take pictures of each other in their wedding dress and Tux. They asked Frans if he would take some shots of them together and after a few instructions they handed him their new SLR, and the rest, as they say, is history!

The second photographer is John Stager. He is an avid nature photographer with a particular interest in birds and wildlife, while also dabbling in other genres such as landscape and urban photography. He continuously strives to expand his photographic horizons. He loves to travel throughout Canada and the rest of the world to capture images that forever remind him of the flora, fauna and culture of the places he visits. He takes great pleasure in capturing magical moments that he can share with friends, family and the photographic community. His work has been published in a number of forums, including National Geographic, Canadian Geographic, the Toronto Star, Reader's Digest and Viewbug. John continues to travel and experiment, and eagerly awaits the next magical moment that he can both witness and capture.
