Allis Chalmers CA --- My Great Grand Parents were the early settlers on a northern Wisconsin farm, as they purchased the 80 acres from the Railroad right of way. The land was broken with horses and oxen. When my Grandparents took over the farm, they advanced to a Fordson tractor on steel wheels, which proved to be unreliable. The Fordson was replaced with a McCormic Deering 10-20, which was also on steel. This was replaced with this Allis Chalmers CA in the early 1950’s.

Allis Chalmers introduced the Model "CA" with 20 HP in 1950. It had the power shift wheels and two-clutch system of the "WD" and a four-speed transmission.

This tractor worked the farm until my Grandparents retired from farming, but never left the farm. The farm is now in our hands, and the CA lives on. Somehow, I predict a restoration in the future.
