It showed up a week or so ago, just a few houses down the block. A 1966 Ford Mustang. Looks to be in decent shape, at least from the street. Couldn't resist taking a shot of the front grill.
I remember back in the mid-sixties, the Webb family bought one the first year they came out. They lived a few blocks over from my Mom's house. I fell in love the first time I saw it. Jimmy Webb would get to drive that car in high school. Lucky guy. I always wanted one. It never happened.
I also remember sending off to Ford for 8 x 10 B&W glossies of the Thunderbird when I was in sixth grade. I wish I still had those pictures. Gorgeous product shots. They looked something like this. Cool, huh?
