From the 1920 'Ford Factory Facts'

Highland Park Model T plant Gas-Steam Engine, my grandfather was the draftsman to the designer, world's largest engines at the time-

Designed by Edward Gray-

Edward Gray was Henry Ford's Chief Engineer at the Highland Park Model T Plant from 1909 to 1914. My grandfather, Elmer LeSuer, worked for Mr. Gray from 1906 to 1919, starting at Riverside Engine in Oil City, PA then on to other projects after their 'Ford Days' when Gray began his Grayhaven development. Elmer LeSuer then left for Pennsylvania again but returned in 1937 by the request of Edward Gray when he also interviewed with Gar Wood, the speedboat racer and builder and worked for both at a small private office on Grayhaven. Gray died in 1939 so grandpa continued working for Gar Wood until grandpa died in early 1945.
