Light show at Miners Beach

This night on Miners Beach will remain one of my fondest memories. We had the beach entirely to ourselves for this unbelievable sunset, and we spent well over an hour just enjoying nature's beauty here.

Miners Beach is part of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The beach itself is a mile long and a short easy walk from a parking lot off of an unpaved road. Off of the same road you can also access Miners Falls, which we did on a different night.

We were only at Pictured Rocks for a couple of days on our way home from the Porcupine Mountains. It is a breathtaking place and I know that we will return again soon and spend a great deal of time there. It is about a 7-hour drive from home, but the beautiful scenery in Michigan does not make the drive feel unbearable.
