Avalanche on Nanga Parbat (Diamir)

A huge avalanche came down the Nanga Parbat on the Rupal face. Even my guide who does this trek often was astonished.

This was the biggest but by far not the only avalanche I saw that day. The many avalanches are one of the reasons why Nanga Parbat belongs to the most difficult 8000 meter mountains.
