West Valley Switch

Yesterday I wandered down there always having a never ebbing fascination with this end of the valley and the beauty within it. Needless to say, I was disappointed having just missed Almond season everything was mud and dirt with nothing to be seen but the beautiful wide expanse of the valley. With a recent storm leaving no trace of having battered the valley for over two weeks I had no "sky" to play with, and not finding the train until its return trip north I missed any chances of good light.

The stars didn't line up for me, and as I had planned this a day ahead of actually going down there little thought was put into what I could have really done as with my other trips. But that's ok. I found many areas I'd like to shoot and capture trains at making a better mood for photography down there. Yesterday wasn't a total loss, but at least I can call it a "scouting" trip.
