Signal box repeaters

Set of 4 signal box repeaters from Preston No4 cabin on the former LNWR. These instruments were used to indicate the condition of signals, weight bars and ground dollies to the signalman in the cabin who, for various reasons (smoke, fog etc) could not see the end result of pulling the lever. They would have been afixed to either the instrument shelf or as was the case with these ones, on a short bracket behind the corresponding lever.
