The Fawn

Fawn Newel Post, Timberline Lodge.

This is my favorite of all of the newel posts in the lodge. They are the support posts for the stair rails. Each one is carved into a different kind of an animal. In addition to the fawn, there's an owl, a kingfisher, an eagle, a duck, a possum, a bear, a mole, a lynx, a fox, a pelican and a badger.

This is dedicated to Janice because it's her favorite newel post too. Click HERE to see her photo of this post.
