Peaches #1

    Newer Older

I can't decide between Peaches #2 and Peaches #1 (this one).

    Hello Nancy,

we finally made it ! My wife's home page is online for two
    days now: www.essenswert-5elemente.de/

The page with your lovely peaches image can be found under
    www.essenswert-5elemente.de/ernaehrungsberatung-5-frau.html
and the copyright information is under
    www.essenswert-5elemente.de/ernaehrungsberatung-5-links.html
(in the bottom of the right content area). I hope it's ok
how we mentioned you. I took most of the photos by myself
(I'm only a part time photographer with a cheap camera, but
I think the result is ok) but I have to admit your "Peaches"
are really absolutely impressive and a great enrichment for
our home page. Fits perfectly .....

It's all in German since my wife has mostly local clients
in Munich so you probably won't understand the content, but
I can promise you it's all about good food and healthy life.
So your image has found a good home :-)

Thank you very much again for letting us use the picture.
It's a great experience if you find such helpful and
friendly people in the internet .....

    Best regards from Munich, Germany

    Günter

I can't decide either. I found this photo from the creative tabletop photography thread on reflections, and it just grabbed me. However, after seeing peaches #2, I can't make up my mind.

I like what that other commenter said about dominance. That's a good word for how the center peach fills the frame.

So are you telling us how you shot it? Strobe from camera-left, peaches sitting on a mirror and the color of the reflection coming from the wall? Warming gel?

What I especially like is how the light spills onto the peach in the back right, which highlights the roundness of the shaded part of the front peach. (hope you can follow that...)

Hmm.. on second thought.. the black side of the front peach might be a little too sharp.. but might just be me trying to reconstruct how you did it ;-)

all in all -- beautifully done.

The tones are wonderful, its simplicity is terrific and the exposure is spot on!

This is stunning. It gives the effect that the fruit is hanging in the air. I like the soft lighting too and again a nice simple background. This photo almost has a 3-D quality to it. Super.

It looks like ther is fruit under the apricots.

Yeah that one looks better (for me) than the Peaches #1, just because of the "dark side" on the first peach ;)

Hello, my wife and I are writing and self-publishing a smoothie popsicle recipe book for children, and we'd like to use this image. We would of course properly credit you, but are there any other conditions?

We are eagerly awaiting your response. :-)

      Thank you in advance,
