Angles and Arches #1
A bunch of angled roofs and arches come togehter in the inner courtyard at the Santa Barbara Mission. This image is by far my most successful photo by Flickr standards. One of my two favorites from the day. Here is the other one.
The Santa Barbara Mission
There are 21 missions stretching from south to north along the California coast. They built in the late 18th century and comprised a series of religious outposts established by Spanish Catholic Dominicans, Jesuits, and Franciscans, to spread the Christian doctrine among the local Native Americans.
Today's lighting was enhanced by atmospheric smoke from a large brush fire for which California is so famous. This provided a beautiful low-contrast yellow light.
